Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai Massage has been in its form for over 2500 years. It is based on the Ayurvedic principles of balancing the bodies energy using Therapeutic and Healing Massage as well as Acupressure for stimulating the pressure points.
Utilising the Eastern and Western systems and the idea of maintaining the balance or equilibrium in the body is the key to good health.
Thai Massage is based on the idea that the energy lines that run through the body which are called SEN. These Sen are the passageways for energy, just as the blood vessels are the passageways for the blood in the body. It is not a coincidence that the sen lines coincide with blood vessels in the body. When these energy lines become blocked the energy becomes blocked and the energy becomes stagnant, and the body loses its balance, allowing dis-ease to accumulate.
In Thai Massage I use stretching, energy work and acupressure to open energy channels allowing the body to re-balance itself and thus heal itself. By stretching the body I relax tight muscles and help open stiff joints, this in itself allows energy to flow more freely.
Thai massage can reduce stress, aches and pains, can be used for general relaxation purposes. Undertaken in calm and soothing surroundings, you will feel relaxed with a sense of increased well-being.
